PHYSICAL THERAPY
What is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is meant to
promote proper movement and function for those individuals with disabilities
and/or injuries. Physical therapy
should only provided by a licensed physical therapist or a physical therapy
assistant under the supervision of a physical therapist. Physical therapists examine individuals
and develop a plan of care to encourage function, decrease pain, and prevent
disability.
What does a physical
therapist do?
A physical therapist utilizes
exercise and manual techniques to educate and promote maximum function in an
individual with any movement dysfunction.
